I am very interested in numerical simulation, and have practiced a lot of examples using FLAC and UDEC. In 2007, I attended the seminar: Developing Numerical Advanced Seminar for Practical Application and Design and Analysis of Geotechnical Structures.
I was deeply touched by Dr. Roger Hart’s words: A good numerical simulation expert must be a rock mechanics expert, and an outstanding rock mechanics expert also inseparable from the site investigation. Therefore, I feel that only by the way that improving the three aspects in engineering geology, numerical and experimental research simultaneously can I hope to become a mature researcher eventually.
This fact impelled me to concentrate my research interest on numerical simulation and the related areas.
